Monday, we woke up to this:
Usually the road doesn't get covered but there was so much snow it did! We got about 5-6 inches. We made it outside in early afternoon, but it was so cold that the snow was no longer fluffy but crunchy. Not that much fun. But Lily liked her little polar bear outfit. Thanks Sheena!
I made her the little hat she is wearing under the hood. I'm feeling crafty. Two snowfalls in one year for South Carolina. It shut the city down. Schools were closed basically all week since most kids had off Friday for Martin Luther King Jr. day. I was kind of mocking the wussies but I went out Wednesday afternoon for a Bible study and Big Red got stuck in my friends' driveway. I kept spinning my wheels until the girls sat in the bed of the truck so the wheels could get traction. VERY embarrassing so I figured if they want to cancel school, more power to them. And on the way home, I pulled in the driveway and stopped to let the garage door open. Well, there was a patch of ice and I couldn't pull the rest of the way in! Finally, I backed/slid down the driveway, and got a running start to get in the garage. I can't handle the snow apparently. It is embarrassing.
So this week we tried a little naked tummy time. Lily loved it, of course! Her little bottom got to get some air. We are working on her rolling over - she hasn't yet but we wanted to make sure it wasn't because of the bulky diaper. I got some cute pictures, but I'm not going to post my baby's hiney on the internet... well, not now at least. But this is one of my favorite pictures of her so far.
Her eyes have turned. She is our brown eyed girl!
